So my ex boyfriend...

Who I still talk to, yes I know....but it was a very weird relationship. We were like babies when we were together and were more like friends anyway. It's really not a big deal (Right Diane? )

So anyway, he can be the most self absorbed human being on the planet. I called him way back in September to tell him I got engaged. We talked maybe 6 or 7 times since then. Not ONCE did he ask me when the wedding was, yada yada, nor did he ask me how my NEW JOB WAS GOING! Hello, talk about major huge changes in my life! He'd call, he'd say 'How are you?' I'd say 'doing well, how are you?' and then the whole conversation would be about him. Non stop yapping...it's awful. Then you hang up and you just laugh!

Well....turn to tonight's conversation. He finally asked me about the wedding and my job!! I almost busted a gut talking about such OLD NEWS!! I was like, this is new information only to strangers!! Sooo odd!

I found this very amusing and just had to share....I've been engaged since what, 5 months and NOW he asks me? Lordy!

wow I am glad he took your engagement well. My ex found out about it and didn't have very pleasant things to say about it
So is he invited to the wedding?

Ugh that's the other thing!!! I saw him at his brother's wake back in November (very sad, but his brother was practically an invalid for many years so in my heart I know he's in a better place) and he took the opportunity to say 'Invite me to your wedding.' He gives me such guilt about it! It just seems too awkward, but he's seriously told me 'I will be so hurt if you don't invite me' - and he was bugging me even before we got engaged!!!

Craziness. Just... wow. I don't know what's more ridiculous, that homeslice doesn't check in with you onhow you're doing, or that in spite of that, he still demands to be invited. I'm the type of person that if someone on the bubble demands to be invited, I'm not so sure they get there. Sounds pretty ridiculous sis.
