you are hilarious!!! congratulations...i guess you get to start posting on the newlyweds board...and join LIF.

Once you receive your marriage certificate, you can go to the SS Office, to have a new card made up. You can also head to the DMV to do the name change. You can also do the same for the banks and credit cards (over the phone.)

Just remember, you will need your ORIGINAL certificate to make these changes. They won't take it from you - just look at it, or make a copy of it.

You'll have to also update your information at work, insurance companies, etc....

It's a PITA, but it honestly wasn't as bad as some folks make it out to be.
