This time I caught the girl. as she was walking out the door I was like 'will you be taking those bags today?' and the girl was like 'what bags?' so I said 'the bags you just had in your hand' she says 'uhh I put them down somewhere i don't remember where' so i say 'really? because theyre missing now' so she says check your register...I put them there' so i don't even turn around i just say 'ma'am theyre not on the register' she says check again and starts walking really fast down the hall...mind you i had already called mall security and the cops who have a precinct right in the mall before this went down and they STILL weren't there...in fact they never showed up.
I'm just so pissed because I'm not allowed to do much else about it. I can't go after her...I can't take the bags from her...and I was saying to myself I should have just been like 'the bags you put in your shopping bag' but i was thinking what if this chick tries to come at me...even if she hits me first if i hit her back I'll lose my job.
I can't believe mall security never showed up!!! I'm so mad...It just solidifies my feelings that I need to get the hell out of that mall. I need a new job...BADLY.

security NEVER showed up at the mall i used to work at. the best they would do is a 'walk through' but they rarely if ever did anything about shop lifters. I don't understand what the point of mall security is, other than kicking out the mallrats.

i have cameras but the vcr they are connected to doesn't work and i've emailed corporate about it ...but nothing. I try my best to prevent theft but its like I'm on my own. Corporate gives me no hours to schedule appropriately so we have plenty of eyes on the floor...they haven't fixed my vcr... and mall security is useless. although the mall has a camera thats right outside my store so maybe they could get her on tape for me.

that really $ucks!!!!!!!! I can't belive that.. what if you were danger.. security should really show up when u call them!!! i'd have fit!!! I'm sorry your having such a hard time at your job hopefully you'll find something better that doesn't stree you out so much

ive had to call the cops on a DRUNK one day. im not in a mall but it took a SUFFOLK COUNTY COP 20 mins to get to me. I called 2 times. he was scaring the shi* out of us. and started stealing. who knows if he had a weapon on him. the cop pulls up slow like nothing is going on. didnt even get out of his car, we had to go out to him. by the time he got there, the guy was gone!

Where is this? That is no good! I worked retail for awhile and it ******! Maybe some of the girls here know of someplaces that might be hiring? What else would you like to do?
