I know what you mean!!!! I know I have a lot of time, but I feel like there is still so much to do. We booked the RH first, and I feel like my next thing is photo/video. I'm not sure if that is how I'm supposed to do it, but for me it seems like the next logical step. The only thing I have done besides the RH is I got my dress which I loveeeee! Don't worry, we will all get to that point where we can just sit back and wait for that day to arrive!!!!

Its good that you're looking at 2012 because you have lots of time still. We booked the RH first and the church. Thats about it. I'll start researching other vendors soon and hopefully book a bunch in April when I'm back on LI. Its important for you to figure out what you're looking for and set a budget before tackling anything big.

I agree with what the other ladies have posted. I know you said that you are very indecisive person but I think if you were able to narrow down the overall feel that you would want for your wedding that would start the process. It will help to decide on which reception halls that you would like to look into.

I think after you pick your reception hall then you should move onto your budget or maybe even before you decide on your reception hall.

Then I would move to photo and video. You have plenty of time although some vendors do book quicker than others. If you know something is very important to you for example flowers then I would look into them before something that is of less importance to you.

Lastly just breathe because everything will work out in the end. You have a ton of ladies on this site that have a wealth of information and will help you in anyway that they can!

dont worry!! first, I looked at MANY MANY RH's...it takes alot of time, but when you find the right one you will know!
as soon as we went to Chateau Briand, we fell in love with it and the service was great! as soon as knew that we got a couple of dates they had avalable then we went to the church to see what dates they had available..and made a match!
so far ive only looked at photographer but we are definitely looking at other things too..
Personally i am doing it this order--photographer, video then florist then dress/BP and last limo...hope i didnt miss anything!

I feel a bit overwhelmed myself. I also have many different ideas and and things I want to incorperate but I'm afraid of it getting/looking messy. I want to find and book an RH very badly but we are waiting until spring to book bc of $. I do have a dress though! Until spring we are going to visit RH's sparatically and see where that takes us.

Your DEF not too far behind..we only have our hall and our band and we are perfectly fine with that...we will probably start seriously planning beginning of next year (which is in a couple of weeks hahahaha ) but most like around march or april

First, just take a deep breath.. you have time. I haven't booked anything yet either but we have appointments to go look at halls the first and second weekends of January. Our plan is to book the hall first and then church, photographer and videographer.

FH is already bitching about why we have to book things so far in advance.

Congrats my FH and I we did the hall first a few days after we got engaged only a few days and then I told my girls who I was having in my party and then I did the dress and then finally we did the video and photo person just recently. After the holidays we will do going into full swing.

Don't worry- you have lots of time! As you have ideas, write them down or print them out and put them in a binder. Make a list of to do's and just tackle one at a time. You will get it all done!
