So proud of FH...

He actually put his foot down w/wedding invites!

He was with his (distant) family members on Saturday and he told me that they were asking him about the wedding...so i my mind i immediately start rolling my eyes thinking it's going to be ANOTHER argument about inviting people that we don't even speak to and about keeping the wedding intimate...and then he tells me the cousin asked where his invitation was....as FH said 'You're not getting one' Now I though the delivery was very mean; but he said there was no other way of saying it! And at least there's no confusion down the line when they 'think' they're getting an invite!

Those 10+ cousins all expected to get invited...FH hasn't seen them in years!

YAY for putting his foot down - ok yea, the delivery would have been smoother but in the end, some times being blunt is the best way to go!!!

LOL! I know-he's very direct-I told him he could have said it a little nicer; but that they understood and in the end; we don't want them asking next year when they didn't get an invite and then having to explain it and feel awkward.

that's great that he told them! I agree with the delivery, but hey, at least he said it! now theres no confusion! lol

Our guest list can not go over 125. Right now our lists combined is at 115 (i think) we're leaving the extra 10 as a cushion. But those distant cousins are not getting into that extra 10!

I wish fh would put his footdown-- even with the eparty his hole list of people he hasnt seen in over 5 years!! but i cant complain because my list for the wedding so far is 200 his is 40-- so he can invite who he wants.....
