So sad......

So as some of you know I've been whining about turning the big 2-5 and not accomplishing what I had hoped for myself at this point in my life.... Well while I was throwing my self a pitty party last night, forgoing the wine for the 'ugh, self pitty- tini'

I recv'd a phone call from my mom, Family friends that I grew up calling Aunt & Uncle, have a very sick daughter. She has leukima. She was diagonised w/ it at age 5 and spent the majority of the past 5 years in a hospital. She's been in the hospital since the day before christmas eve 06, well She passed


This poor child died at 10years old, and spent almost 1/2 of her short life in the hospital,


There are no words to say that can comfort anyone. It's such a helpless feeling, and when my mom called me back, I thought it was about my b-day so I answered the phone, ' Hi, you've reached Michele the underachiever, I'm too busy drowning my misery in the 'ugh, self-pity tini'

and she was like, ok I have to tell you somthing please sit down.

Now I'm embrassed of m,y behavior and I want to do somthig to help, ease their pain but don't know what. Food has already been taken care of, (my mom). any other suggestions?

I'm so sorry about this situation. Words cannot begin to explain the pain a person must feel when I child passes.



Maybe you could spend some time helping around the house or running errands. You can be inconspicuous by calling and saying that you are in the area if they would like you to pick anything up from the store. Things like that.

Most importantly is to offer emotional support. Many times people who are grieving just want to talk to someone who will listen. Many people are going to be saying how sorry they are for the loss. I think just being there to listen and not talk can be priceless.

I have donated to these funds. That is a really nice thing to do and it feels really good to do something like that

I will keep them in my prayers.

Don't not feel bad for what you were doing. We are humans. At moments like this we have to remember to cherish every moment and appreicate everything we have.

She is an angel now....

I think that would be a great idea. And I am sooo sorry for your loss, my heart goes out to you and her family and friends, that is such a tragedy

You can also send a flower arrangement for the wake

I'm so sorry for your loss. This makes us realize that life is so precious. Even though things may not always go the way we want them to we should be thankful we are alive & well.
