yeah, they did have a 'promise to stick around' thread that everyone signed but you see how well that held up.
I think its just inevitable that people start fading out cause their wedding is over, so they either get busy with other things in life, or they move on to the other boards. (newlyweds, LIF) I do feel pretty bad for the November/December brides because it seems like there is no one left to give them advice.

it does stink for end of year brides---we all thought everyone would stick around! we even had one of those same posts where everyone signed and said they'd stay until the end of the year.
i think its one of those things where once your wedding is over---you realize that it was just one day and you can't quite get as excited about the little things anymore.![]()
it really does happen to just about every single year. i'm sure you 08ers will try your best to keep up the boards for the end of next year
