So Sad! E-Ring Problems!

I am so upset...I was looking at my e-ring the other day and I noticed there are 2 'slash-mark' looking gashes when you look at one of my sidestones...it is on the side of the sidestone, so no one else would notice it, but I am upset about it!

Has this happened to anyone else? I thought diamonds were supposed to be one of the strongest, hardest things! FH is taking it back to the jeweler tomorrow, but I am not sure what they will offer....

Also, we have insurance on the e-ring, so we'll see!

They have a hardness of 10 on the hardness scale...but they are able to be nicked (sp?)
Are you sure that they are new? Maybe the girdle was too thin and you bumped it, the jeweler should be able to polish it for you...I had the problem before...Good Luck

Oh no i would be soooo upset. my ring is like my best friend...JK. umm i think they will give you a new diamond. they offer that in store ins. if you take it to get checked every 6 mos. Good luck with your ring, i'm sure it will work out.
