So Sad!! - Long Sorry!

So I am getting married three weeks from today and I woke up this morning very excited about today. I spent the day at the beach with my 10 month old twin nephews and my sister-in-law (MOH). I planned on it being a perfect, stress free day. During the day my mom called to tell me that my great uncle (basically a grandfather to me) was rushed to the hospital and into surgery late last night/ early this morning. My uncle has not been well lately and when I got engaged last Aug. my mom sat me down and told me that she didn't think he would make it to my wedding.
Well, as the wedding got closer and closer, I was happy to see him looking a little better, The day before my shower, he even helped me pick the colors of the flowers for the guys to wear on their suites. He picked yellow, my favorite color.
Now, with only 3 weeks left I am not sure if he is going to be there to see me get married.
For anyone that has a favorite person in the world, you will understand when I say, 'He is my favorite person in this world!' 10 months ago, my twin nephews gave him a run for his money for that title, but seriously. I am so upset. We are going to see him tomorrow at the hospital. PLEASE PRAY FOR HIM!!!!

Unfortunately I know exactly what you mean through my own recent experience.

A very similar thing happened to my MOH with her uncle (who lives in FL) and she actually went down there to see him in March because she didn't think he would make it until her wedding (in July). Well, he did get better and he was able to be there to share in her day! hang in there and for you and your uncle!

Thank you so much for all of your thoughts and prayers. My uncle is doing better and even walking around the hospital a little. Although he is feeling better we are still not sure if he is going to be able to make the trip from his home in PA to Long Island. I really hope and pray he will be there on my big day!
