I've heard good things about Marie Katz and Jill Harth, both vendors here on the board.
ETA:: Also, I forgot about Jackie from I Make You Up, heard nice things about her as well, another LIW vendor.

I am friends with Jillian from Gorgeous faces through other means and she is just awesome!!!
I am going for a trial on July 20th with her. She is seriosuly like the nicest person ever!!!

Try Jill Harth - she's a bit pricey, but my trial with her was terrific and I booked her on the spot.

Just to let you brides know...I spoke with Marie Katz and she is no longer doing brides on Sundays starting in 2006 unless you are getting ready near Commack. She just told me this recently, and I got lucky because I live in Commack.
I'm trying to set up a trial with her already, but have another one with Oksana in a few weeks, and I was disappointed that Jacqueline Nicole is already booked on my wedding day!!!
