Very upsetting...we had 2 Bala Sharks (trying to find a pic) one we had for about 3 years, the other for about 1 Friday evening our older one 'Big Daddy' died just out of nowhere, and then yeserday afternoon the other one 'Little Guy' passed too! Don't know why...very sudden, but at least our other 2 fish (Jack Dempsey's are ok)

oh no, you def should! and i'd recommend petsmart in levittown...they have very good fish!

My parents had a fish that lived for 4 or 5 years and just recently passed. Just out of the blue.

Oh ok, thank you! These would be the first pets I ever owned so I am a little nervous.
then i would recommend (as a long time fish owner) to get a hearty fish like an Oscar or Jack Dempsey...they are great, don't get sick easily and are so nice to look at. They will also interact with you....follow your finger, come up to you when it's time to feed them, some will even play with a ping pong ball! But depending on the size of your tank only get 1 or 2...they can be aggressive with other fish and need a lot of room to swim! 55gal = 2 fish!
let me know what you decide!!! BTW...Jack Dempsey's change color depending on their mood!!!
