I had to search outside LIW for hair and makeup...
The thing is, I'm brown..lol...and the problem with that is that a lot of times, we come out looking darker or lighter than we should because they cant match our color right.
So I really wanted someone that is very accustomed with my skin tone and I think the only vendor on here that is, is Kholouds. But they are booked for an afternoon wedding and cannot spend the time I would like them to with me.
So I'm between two artists that I have found, one of which just kinda started out about 2 years ago and is the cousin of one of my BMs...
and this one I found through the knot..
If you had to choose based on pics of others who got their makeup done, who would you say is better? This is work from the cousin of my BM..
and no i'm not having an indian wedding but i cant believe her eyes in this pic!

i was going to say the same thing. You really cant base it on pics of other brides. The same makeup that looks good on 1 person may not lookd good on you.
i would do trials with both

but even if your photographer is amazing...that wont stop you from looking bad in guests pictures lol
save up and trial both. but from th epics i like the first chick better

yea so i jus found out that the first girl is not even available to do it on tuesday anyway and she was the one i was leaning towards...
any other suggestions ladies?
i like these looks where the makeup kinda pops...some liw vendors i saw like this was About Face Artistry, Lola Loves makeup and Kholouds...
but they are all booked, anyone know of any others?

i think that you should do a trial with at least one of them. try to do it with the person who's work you like best based on the pics so maybe you can avoid having to have two trials. based on the pics i like the first girls work better.

Try Shab. She did my makeup and Im sure she can do an amazing job for you.
try posting this question on the vendors page, if you haven't done so already.
if you go with the cousin of your BM and you don't like how she does your makeup, will your BM be pissed? try going to a MAC counter and have them play with your makeup for free and then if its good, see if they would do it for your wedding.

no she def wont be pissed and I think I'm going to end up going to MAC to do my makeup for EPICS
