I am talking to my MOH and she says that one of our friends is throwing a christening party on June 13 which is 2 weeks before my wedding. I got mad!! This is so close to our wedding and there will be some guests at her party who will be attending my wedding.. I was like she could choose any other month why is she choosing June I got off the phone with her and then it got me thinking that maybe it is my bridal shower.... and they are just confusing me or it is a really party

bridal showers are not really traditions in my culture so anyting is possible.. i told my mom that i do not want a shower ( my parents are already giving us $$$ for the downpayment and I do not want them to pay for my shower) now I am really hoping that maybe i will have a shower

It could be your shower but if it isnt - dont let it get to you. Its not worth stressing over. FH's friend is having their wedding two weeks after ours - and they got engaged way after us. At first I was annoyed but then I was like - whatever its not worth stressing over!

if it makes you feel better my cousin just told me last week they are having their son's christening exaclty a week before our wedding.... honestly it didn't even phase me, i just told them there was a good chance we would not make it cause we might have stuff to get finalized

Sorry, but I don't think you have a right to be mad. Is everyone supposed to stop their life because of youur wedding? Its a Christening 2 weeks before your wedding, who cares if people are going to both they aren't even the same kind of event!

Yea def. don't stress.... I have three friends that got engaged way after us and two are getting married in the same month as us! One is May 1st, FH 's friend from TX, they got engaged this past labor day and planned a wedding for May 1st, The other is FH's friend from NY, they got engaged about two months after us and booked there wedding for May 8th! and the third is getting married right after us on June 19th. (Another couple from TX that got engaged on labor day).

i'm sorry but i have to agree with heather on this one. you don't have a right to get mad at her for having a christening party... wedding, maybe. christening, no.
