So... I have someone I want to ask to be my BM... She's a cool friend.. we been friends for around 6yrs but last yr n a half we lost communication.... No reason in particlar no fights nothing...
We 'found' each other again on 09/2010.... So we been cool every since.. She always asked me things about my wedding n preparation....
BUT I've been planing a while to ask her to b my BM but the problem is that for some reason EVERYTIME we have like a dinner/lunch/gtg plan... something happens n SHE cancels it...
I've been trying for around 5-6 times & she has to do somthing after we already have the plans...
So should I?
1)Veronica needs to continue & try maybe a couple of more times bc she(Potential BM) is busy...
2) Veronica should just ASK HER w/o taking her to lunch/dinner/g2g bc its the same thing...
3) Veronica should learn to READ between the lines & see that this is NOT possible if shes acting like this she may be busy for my wedding too...
AND GO? =-)

I feel like its kinda late in the game to be asking her. I wouldn't if I was you. You already seem to have your bridal party set and adding her on at this point may seem like an empty invite.

hmmm... If you have only been 'reconnected' for like 6 months and you are having issues with her being unavailable.. you might want to think more about this. I dunno.. hard call! I think that is something only you can figure out since no one on her knows her/you or your past w/her.
ETA: If you already have your bridal party set... I would def. not ask!

I would invite her to the wedding but not to be party of the BP. This is a person you just recently reconnected with and also it could be a little too late.

Personally, I wouldn't ask her to be a BM. From you story, she comes across as very flaky and unreliable. I wouldn't want someone like that as my BM.

Flaky is basically saying that someone is unreliable and that you cannot depend on them, which pretty much sounds like this friend of yours....

I wouldn't do it since it's hard to get a hold of her now, it will give you headaches later on. Plus, you already ordered BM dresses so it will be another headache to get her to go...
just invite her as a guest chica and party with her~!

ITA..have her as a guest but I dont think you should ask her to be a bridesmaid. If you think its hard to get in contact with her now wait until you try to track her down when its time to buy a BM dress, planning the shower etc.
But I'm glad u reconnected with a long lost friend. Thats always cool!
