so this is the response we get

when we told FH's mother she cannot bring a guest (boyfriend that she met off the net and we don't know)

we said unless you are engaged or married we cannot permit guests.... her response???

'I'm engaged - just haven't made the formal announcement yet. '

what an a** hole
she invited a 'guest' the our reherseal dinner and reception... WHO THE F .... DOES THAT!!!!!

oh man! My mom and sister (MOH) already said that if my BF and other MOH tries to run the show at the wedding they are taking her down! I ,may be with you on Springer talking about the throwdown at our weddings

that is crazy!! She shoulda called and asked you guys about it. I have the same basic rule. Well, they don't have to be married, but I did only allow Guests to the people in a serious relationship. I'd be angry if somebody tried to ADD somebody to my list. Not happening!

We are dealing with the same thing too!!!
it's amazing how ppl think they can just bring anyone ..even if they just met them or work with them or whatever the case is..even when the invitation was addressed to them only...

I'm sorry to hear this ... i know it's a principle thing and all, but I wonder if it's worth a fight breaking out at your wedding??? Can you just let it go if she brings the date so that your wedding doesn't have any 'punches thrown' ??? I know it's bothering you, really I do - and I know that your MIL has some emotional and mental issues - but for the sake of your wedding, your sanity and your FH and your happiness that day -- maybe you should just ignore her,

Don't give her the time of day. I know I've dealt with ppl like this and the more you try to reason with them the more attention they are getting and they love drama b/c they know how to get to you. IGNORE her, I know its hard b/c it is a situation, but seriously do not acknowledge the guest no place card ect. you've said your piece and I would just leave it at that.

Also, why doesn't FH deal w/her. It's totally not fair for her to be stressing you out about this. Sorry to be blunt but FH should shut her up and put her in her place.
