So, tired of people asking me everyday-'SO, HOW IS THE WEDDING PLANNING GOING'

Ahhoooo

It is so annoying...at work..people in the gym, or people that I see in elevators that are not working on my floor, will ask me about the wedding planning......... EVERYDAY!!!!!

Sometimes I feel like making a mini report and e-mailing it out to the public....

I know what u mean, after a while it can get annoying but i guess they are just excited for u and feel that u would want to talk about your wedding plans since its a HAPPY thing to talk about! Wouldn't u feel worse if they didn't say anything......

YES YES YES...All the time from my co-workers. And they will ask...'so what are you doing next?' or 'what are you going to do this week/end for the wedding?'
It makes me feel soo guilty when i didn't do anything...I just want to shout...NOTHING...NOW LEAVE ME ALONE

Oh I am SO tired of that! I try to remind myself that they mean well, and are just excited about my wedding (which is nice). I try to be gracious. With my friends I just cut them off!
The weird thing is, about 6 months ago, I stopped telling people I met (at the gym and whatnot). It was so nice to have normal conversations with people! I could escape for a little while! I recently told someone who I'd chatted with on occasion. They were like 'what???' I confessed I just wanted to have normal conversation with someone!

A little strange...I know

i just answer 'fine, close now'. I know people not involved don't want to hear every little detail. so its annoying when they ask... cuz i can't really say.

For real -- this morning at church i said to someone 'its fine, just planning' and she was like 'well what are you doing' 'what do you have to do next' blah blah blah... i was like the same things you asked me about last week and she looked disappointed!! what does she want me to do - make stuff up?

Same here. Every Monday morning, I get to work and people ask me how the wedding planning is going. I can't wait for them to ask me how the honeymoon was, or just what I did over the weekend instead of just assuming it always (and only) involves the wedding planning. It will happen soon enough!

That's what I say! I guess no one can talk to me about anything else anymore They think I became stupid once I got engaged and I don't know about anything else going on in the world anymore.

LOL ladies....

It gets worse...after I told my gf that the whole entire office...keeps asking me on wedding updates...and where talking about people stopping by my desk and parking their buts-- for a good long chat!!!! That I am not even close to..on a conversational level.....noisy....

That once I am married...they will want to know when i am planning to have a baby...now.?.and don't get pregnant...the whole office will want to know what you are having...etc.....blah...blah...blah....

Asking how it is going is SUCH A NICE CHANGE from a few months ago when people had the balls to say, 'Why are you planning now? It's so far away!' I would get used to it, because people will only continue to get more annoying!

I have the kinda opposite problem. People look at me like I have 2 heads when they hear that I've booked the hall and some other vendors. They say you have 2 years to wait why rush.

I want to say who asked you!!!

It's MOST annoying when people I barely know ask about all the details. It's like okay I know NOTHING about you or your life yet all the details of MY personal life should be public knowledge -- why? Just because everyone knows I'm getting married???

I find it annoying too... especially when it is the same person every week. I think the next time he asks 'how is the wedding plans going', I will say same as last week!!
