What has everyone done to set themselves up for the upcoming year? Did you purchase work out videos, wii fit...anything like that? Are you doing it the old fashioned way of sit-ups, push-ups and walking?
To start off 'new year new body' we went out today and bought ourselves a small george forman grill so we could cook more food at home and make it healthier than it could be. I also bought Jillian Michaels 30 day shred dvd and some free weights to use with the dvd.

Re: So to start off the 'new year new body'
I decided to eat anything and everything I wanted!! lol
Starting tomorrow: Whenever I want a drink (any kind) I'm going to have water instead. I will have a salad for lunch.
I will be joining WW. When I know I'm going out to eat I'm going to look at the menu beforehand online and make my choice BEFORE I get to the restaurant... when I get to the restaurant I will order FIRST and I will not open the menu.
After a few weeks of getting into the zone of healthy choices I will be trying some sort of physical activity... my choices are limited, but there's still lots I can do. FH bought me free weights I am going to find them and USE them.

Staring Monday I am back on WW. I also want to get the Wii fit, but money is a little tight right now so I will wait a littl while for that. And I am going back to my Leslie Sansone Walk Away the Pounds.

Re: So to start off the 'new year new body'
since I started on this site a year ago I have said I wanted to lose the 80lbs Ive been hanging onto for two years and I really havent been able to successfully do anything and it really s u cks. While everyone is looking foward to TWOTY, I'm not because I know I'll have to put a dress on. Nothing stresses me out more than putting a dress on.
I have a gym membership I never use.

wearing a dress = pulling the spanx out of hiding
Most of us are stressing putting a dress on too, your not alone!!! We can all be terrified of tight clothing together!!!

Re: So to start off the 'new year new body'
Its not even the tight clothes that bother me. I have fat in my armpit area. So when I wear a dress that doesnt have sleeves, you see the strap, a chunk of fat, and then my arm. Not very sexy

I have been eating A LOT healthier. Trader Joe's is like my new BFF!
I'm going to start working out soon but I can't implement too many things in my life at once because that just sets me up to fail. I have to introduce things slowly.
