So today should be interesting...UPDATE

My parents always have a 4th of July BBQ, so we are here in MA for that, and supposedly my cousin who for no reason could not be bothered to come to my wedding will be there. My dad keeps saying he can't believe that she's actually going to show up. DH and I and my parents are still mad at her and she hasn't once said anything about the wedding even though everyone in the family has been talking about it non stop. I'm very curious to see how she acts towards me, whether she apologizes for not making it, or if she even congratulates me.

UPDATE:

So my cousin came for 2 hours and then left without saying goodbye to anyone. The only thing she mentioned about the wedding was 'let me see your ring.' No congratulations or anything. Her husband did hug me and say congratulations though. One of my other cousins said to her 'Hey, before you go do you want to see some pictures from the wedding that I took?' She said 'hold on a sec' and then just left!

Did she respond yes, and not show up or did she respond no from day one?

I'm now curious to know the deal too. I'm sure if she did respond yes, and was a no-show, she'd better have an excuse and an apology for you.

She responded no all along but didn't give us a reason at all as to why. She told her mom it was because she didn't want to leave her 3 dogs alone. Her mom told my mom and my mom told me. But my cousin NEVER said a word to DH and I. My cousin even came to my shower days before she responded, and never said a word about not coming.

The sad part is that a year and a half ago, DH and I drove 8 hours to be at her wedding. She couldn't even come the 3.5 hours to mine. She is a close cousin, but my family isn't the type to talk about anything and everything, so I haven't said anything to her yet.

Sounds like she feels really guilty unless leaving without saying anything is par for the course for her. She should have at least given you an explanation.
