I went tonight to try on my dress and it's to long. Now I know you're thinking well they can just hem it, but my dress has hand painting and swavorski crystals on the bottom. So it can't. The manufacuter made it 3 inches to long. They didn't go by the measurements. So they have to reorder my dress. My wedding is only 4 1/2 months away. I'm stressed! I ordered my dress last June and it just came in a week ago. They assured me not to worry, but how can I not. Thanks for listening.

I'm sure they have some kind of pull with the manufacturer since it was thier screw up. I wouldn't worry yet. When are they saying they will have it by?

Don't worry, there's no way it can take more than 3 months to get. And if they screwed it up, it should be a rush order.

Well, if they give you problems and say it'll be a long time, try to press them to make it a rush order. It is not fair to you. You agreed to order the dress from them, and you're spending a lot of money on one day, and the dress is one of the most important things. Tell them there will be big problems if this dress is not the way you want it on your wedding day.

if the beading and painting is at the bottom then they could have taken it at the waiste. i have alot of beading at the bottom of my dress and it had to be taken up too they did it at the waiste! either way don't worry you will be fine! my girlfriends dress did not come in till 4 weeks before her wedding!

I am sorry I am stressing that that will happen with my dress and I can't do my first fitting until the end of Feb when I come back to NY.
My dress is probably like yours with no waist seams so it can't be taken up if there is a problem it is one long piece from the strapless bust down to the hem (which is lace and Sw. crystals as well)
I am very sorry at least they have time to order a new one!
