So upset

You ladies don't know me too well because I'm sort of recently engaged and I've been consumed with family issues since, but I need so much support right now. My grandma is in the hospital. She's had alzheimer's for 6 years and we found out that she had cancer within days of my engagement. On top of that she has pneumonia, which is just not helping. Just so upset because she's been a huge part of my life. Today is also my birthday, and I just don't even want to be told happy birthday or to celebrate, I'm just so sad.

I'm soo sorry about your grandma I'll pray that things get better. If you need someone to talk to, feel free to FM me. I've sadly had a lot of family members with cancer. Today is also my birthday and while I can see how you dont want to celebrate or even ackknowledge it, try to cheer up a lil and do something for yourself.

Aww hun.. i am sooo sorry you are dealing with this. Grandmas are always the best people in the world and it's hard to see them go through this so i am very very sorry I may not be able to say much to make you feel better ..But i Do know this.. weather you are new or have been here forever, it doesn't matter.. we are here to support you. We may not be able to do much.. but we can pray, and send hugs and try to make you smile! So don't ever hesitate to come here with a problem or something that's hurting you.

i am sorry bout everything that you are going through with your grandma...but sometimes when things are that bad you have to be able enjoy some good...maybe celebrate your bday but stop by to visit her today just to tell her that you love her and you areprayin for her to get better

i know how it can feel like you dont want to celebrate anything

I know how you feel, trust me. My family is very close. I was always with my Grandma. Last year, I lost my Aunt who was like a second Mom to me and my Grandfather. I know that you can't picture her not being here, but tust me, she'll always be there with you. Definitely shoot me an FM any time. Lord knows I'm on here all day at work and when I'm home.

Both my grandmothers are in bad health right now. One just had quadruple bypass surgery and the other just got re-diagnosed with Cancer. So I don't know exactly what you are going through but I can sort of relate. And I completely understand how hard it is to picture your grandma not in your life. Both my grandfathers past before any grandkids were born so we have only had our grandmas and I don't know what I would do without them. But I am definitely here to listen if you need someone to vent too.

Although it is hard remember to enjoy the moments you have with your grandma because those are the ones yuo will cherish forever!!
