So Upset...

As a few of you know. My (any my cousins laurenandmike618) Great Aunt passed away last night. She was 95, and lived a very long and fulfilling life. She never got married or had children. She loved her nieces and nephews and great nieces, and great nephews as her own children, so it has certainly been a sad day. She was a spunky old woman who was very strong until only these past 4 or so years. She was a teacher and loved it! It was certainly her calling.

So sad to say she has passed although it was just her time. Unfortunatley due to this I can't make the G2G on Sunday I was really looking forward to meeting you all. I hope you all have a great time and look forward to the next one.

Ahhhh yes... Aunt Rose was such an adorable little Italian lady and yes, definitely spunky. How many 95 year old WOMEN do you know who have earned a Masters degree? AND she was an immigrant from Italy. She was surely something.

I just got back from James Cress Florist to order the piece with Jac and my gosh I feel like I live there, after having just been there for Grandpa and then for my grandma 5 months prior to that. What a year... so many happy things and yet a lot of sadness, as well. Luckily we have an amazing family and yes, we all do support each other. I am proud to say that we have NEVER had any problems in our family over anything and all of us cousins are close and get along so perfectly. It definitely makes times like these less difficult, and it goes to show what an amazing example our predecessors have shown us, including Grandma, Grandpa and Aunt Rose. And now, that entire generation from our family is gone from this Earth, but they are all still with us, watching over us every day, guiding us down the paths of life we have chosen, and keeping our family ever closer together, despite how geographically far apart some of us have become. I am always sad when I see grandparents at other brides' weddings, but I know our grandparents will always be there in spirit (Aunt Rose included) and are happy and proud of us today.
