I went to show my mom the one fully completed ornament that i made... and it was CRACKED... and when i picked it up... it BROKE in my hand!!!!
Now, I had hot (low temp) glued the top, metal part of the ornament so that the sand didn't pour out. I thought it worked perfectly! I think somehow it cause the glass to break! Now I don't know what to do! These are my favors! What if I make all of these, and when my guests open them, they're BROKEN!?!?

Maybe the sand is too heavy and its putting pressure on the glass???

YIKES !!!!!!!
Maybe put a few more together completely and see if they hold up? Try them with less sand or a different glue if they don't?

What about using clear bathtub caulking instead of the glue - most ornaments are very delicate glass and I think the glue would be hot enough to crack it!! Some glue dripped on my finger and it blistered IMMEDIATELY, and that was the GLUE, NOT the metal tip! It hurt for 2 weeks!
