so upset right now with FH

I wanted the wedding to be in Israel, as some of u know thats where I'm originaly from. FH wanted it here. he kept saying how he doesnt want not to know anybody at his own wedding, and if we have it here its gonna be 50-50.
we fought about this for a month and a half and as it is that my parents suddenly wanted the wedding here as well (they live in Israel) I gave in and we're having it here.
I asked FH when I finally gonna meet any of these 'friends' that I never heard of that he made me put on the guest list. he says that he tried to contact this person and that person (all of which he says are his friends and I've never even met any of his friends) and non of them got back to him. so I asked him how does he expect to have any of these ppl at the wedding if he can't even get in touch with them to have a conversation???? so he says to me 'I guess non of them will come'
the whole freakin point of having the wedding here and spending more money was for him to have his ppl share this special day with him, and now they wont even come!
I wanted to kill him!
what makes me even more angrier and hurt is that my parents and me are paying for this fking wedding and more than intended by a lot and for what????? now I am afraid we are not going to be able to make the minimum we promised at our hall

the only way that I got myself come down is by repeating that I get to wear a gorgeous white dress and that's all that matters

that's what I wanted originally. to have the big wedding there and then a casual party here. he didnt want it. he wanted the big one here. now I have no idea when are we gonna be able to go there to have the party

anyways, the point is that there was no reason for him to be so stubborn when these so called friends are not even worth it

I can understand why you are upset but try not to get too stressed..You still have almost a year before the wedding

I'd be really upset as well. Maybe you should sit down with him and figure out if its still worth it to stay the course and have the wedding here?

it's kinda too late to change it. the hall is booked, the photog, the entire family knows, etc...

I know its a year away, but if we don't maintain relationships with ppl now, why would they come to our wedding or we would want them there? I want a nice, fun, special day with my loved ones, not strangers that are doing us a favor by being there.

yes we are going to have a party in Israel when we get a chance, cause my grandparents obviously cant come here cause they are too old, its just a question of when we are going to be able to do it

Give it some time though. Maybe these people will call back. Or maybe FH just said that out of frustration, and deep down, he thinks/knows that they will come.

I am so sorry. I would be upset too! There is nothing that annoys me more than unreliable and selfish 'friends.' You still have so much time to organize a guest list though so no worries about that! You will have a beautiful wedding and another fabulous wedding in Israel! Lucky you, I want to get married twice
