so we had a bachelorette party last night......

and all in all it was really wonderful.... so here is my mini review because we are all always asking about great places in the city soooo here it goes...

There was about 20 girls all together so we gathered at my friends house for the bride to 'have a little show' we did the typical drink stuff and hors douerves but her FH had arranged through his sister for a surprise for our bride... a midget stripper!! so they were suppose to get there about 6:45 (limo bus coming at 8:00 so it was perfect).....7:00 rolls around and he is not here yet, the FSIL calls the company and they are like oh he is on his way- 7:30-- still no show, so the bus gets here at 7:50- and the midgetmac still isnt there!!! we are like oh this is a great start to the night!! so we had to tell the bride she was dissappointed but not upset ( and they didnt leave any money so its not the end of the world, it just would have been funny to see!)

Limo~Designer Limosines and this thing was like a Mack truck pulling up to the house- we had originally gotten an escalade, but since we ere over 18 girls, we switched to the party bus... and that was the best decision we could have done.. this thing was GREAT, our driver looked like a stripper! ( ) there was a bathroom in it, and they typicall soda, ice, champange stuff, a huge flatscreen TV all the colored lights- the oh sh*t handles on the top so you could dance the whole way in!! (funny pictures!!)-- my ONLY recommendation is make sure you get a contract with ALL the money issues before he gets there... they tried to pull some crap about we HAVE to pay the driver $40 an hour for a tip, as apposed to whatever we wanted ( we still have him $200 which we felt was MORE than sufficient- and he kind of gave me an attitude, but I set him straight!)

Dinner~ Mangia E Bevi--- OMG Girls this place is GREAT!!!! keep this in the back of your head though.. you HAVE to go in there with an open mind and can not get mad.. it is not the kind of place you go with the intention of a quiet dinner with friends, we were dancing around the wholr room, standing on our chairs, laughing like heck at EVERYTHING, my only complaint was that the waiters could have been a little hotter! it looked like they just took the guy who washes the dishes and brough him out to dance, BUT they did have a great personality and showed every table a fantastic time.. and the food was pretty good too! average entree was about $13.00~ make sure when you make your reservation you ask them about any minimums that they have for sat nights... when we got there our waiter was like everyone HAS to have a $40 minimum... we were like NOOOOO so he said everyone has to order a main entree-- which wasnt so bad- it worked out to be $30 a person with drinks

THEEEEN we went to Porkys suuuch a fun place to be~~ it was the divyest place I have ever been to in NYC ( it even smelled like a toilet ) but the music was bumpin and our bride to be was on the dance floor before the rest of us got in the door... I had originally made reservations for us ( found this on the computer) so that we skipped the wait in line, got comped at the door, and we could drink free for an hour, they even emailed me a confirmation ( which im a tard and forgot to print our ) they guy at the door tried to make us pay!! I fought with him for about 10 minutes ~ he is lucky he was HOT~ and finally let us in, but we didnt have our free drinks, which by tht time was fine with me because we only have about 45 minuted left before we had to head home... we got fish bowls and just danced and it was wonderful!!! classic trashy 80s music with confetti guns and dirty people!! Who could ask for anything more..

overall it was wonderfull but as I am writing this I realize that every single company tried to take advantage of us and get more money... just because we are a bunch of girls out in NYC for a bach party does NOT give you the right to rip us off.. thank god I know how the weasel these people and saved us some money but serisously it gets tiring after a while!

love mangia e bevi - went for a couple of birthdays but i've seen bach parties and they are the most entertaining to watch! i know what you mean about the waiters but they are super nice and very fun.
