So we locked in our mortgage rate yesterday

and are going to close within 60days (we're buying the house from my family) and I'm SOOOO nervous I don't know why, but I just am. FH thinks I'm insane and that I should be excited. Did anyone else feel this way?

I think everyone feels that way. We were excited b/c we were dying to get out of our one bedroom apt. We were also nervous that something would happen. Its like you don't know what, but you just think something might happen.

Congrats. I remember when we locked and actually the day we closed. Both days had me in a ball of nerves, but it gets easier. It's a natural reaction and it's for a greater good! Good Luck!

I couldn't sleep for a week after we signed the contract on our house because I was so nervous about the decision and the prospect of being a homeowner.

Its probably because too many horror stories have been thrust upon us throught the years of studying the aftermath of when a seemingly routine transaction goes very, very bad

Tammy: No we're not going to dormer it as of now. But we're going to put in new windows, new siding, a new kitchen on the 2nd floor and we want to fix up the bathroom.
