So we thought we had picked out our first dance song.. I Could Not Ask for More.. until we went to my high school friend's wedding this past week and that was their song!!!! We had no clue they were using it.. and they have no clue we were thinking of using it. (it was never discussed between us) What do we do? Do we continue to go ahead and use the song we want and had planned for? I don't want her to think I stole her song!! any advice??
If it were me, I'd pick a new song... since FH and I never really had an 'our' song and we still don't know what we are using. But, if the current song has special meaning, you might want to stay with it.
why do you have to change it???? keep with it if that what you want!
Go with the song...just let her know that you had chosen it prior to her wedding.
Don't change it. Your song is about you and your husband not other people. So what, someone else used that song. Someone has used every song. It's about what is meaningful to you.
If everyone picked a new wedding song because someone else used it, There would be no songs left!! and when you think about it, songs can mean so many diff things to diff ppl so it really matters what you guys feel it means for your relationship. :) hope that helps!
keep your song & joke with her that SHE stole YOUR song!!! hahaha...it's a beautiful song..i used it for the bp processional!
I say use it-unless it bothers you that much. I dont think there is really any reason to change it
Go with it! That was your song originally, y should u change it if that is what you really want.
Unless there was another song that spoke to you and FH as a song that represented you and your relationship, I would go with your riginal song.
I would definitely keep the song that you and your FH originally picked!
go with your song that you picked, there are many ppl out there that have the same song like my song is lifehouse you and me and there alot of ppl out there with the same song.
The same exact thing happened to me and FH. We were going to stick with our original song, but over time it bothered us too much so we've changed it. If you're comfortable keeping it definitely go for it. It just bothered us for some reason.
