So we took the pledge, Now what????

So we took the pledge, Now what????

For those of you who have signed up .
We are gonna do just great! I have no idea, I guess we will play this by ear! I guess we have to start an official thread on this so that we don't populate the board to much with our journey. This will be great to look at in 2010 when we have like 200+ pages, whenever we feel defeated we could always go to the first page and the last and really commend ourselves. But I think that every week having a Goals of the week will be awesome. We could lists reachable mini goals like 1 pound this week or 2 hours of cardio, stuff like that and we could also post wedding related stuff like finalizing my guest list, figuring out my color scheme, go Rh's hunting etc. I am steamrolling this just a bit but could Colleen (Summerbride) be like the Inspiration of the Week and post the goal of the week. She has been a great inspiration to me and has always been in my corner encouraging me. I know I started this off, but this is for all of us and I want us all to feel equally responsible with our posting . We are all here to help each other so never hesitate to pose a question or voice a dificulty that you are facing

I guess we have two days to really get into this regime. I know that in the next two days I plan, to take out all of my gym clothes from their various storage spots, go food shopping and buy mostly fresh produce. If it isn't there you cannot eat it right! I find work to be the hardest thing, in the midst of boredom I find myself wanting to snack, so I should stack up on so nutritious foods like almonds as Christine has suggested.

Fh and I will probably go out to a restaurant tonight so I won't pig out I'll just enjoy the food and stop whenever i feel full.
But today as I have no work today, I will clean this dump of a place that Fh calls his house, drink about 1.5 liters of water, go for a walk with my pup and then treat myself to an at-home spa day.

So with that what are your plans?

Re: So we took the pledge, Now what????

My plans today are to drink 8 glasses of water, organize this house... throw out all the chips we have left over from the BBQ and eat a lean cuisine for lunch.

My plans this evening include no alcohol. I'll be at the Billy Joel concert but whenever I want something to drink I'll substitute it with water.

Saturday night we're going to the Fox Hollow for dinner... there's my sticking point... I will try to order a dinner salad and sample from FHs plate and then splurge on a dessert.

Sunday I will be eating salads with grilled chicken and lots of water. Maybe FH and I will stop at the grocery store to get lots of vegetables and low fat dressing so I can dip, but it won't be chips.

Halls, I can start the GOAL of the week thread...I know there's a buff brides thread here, but I (personally) want this to be just about 2010 brides, we are all doing so well but I don't want to take up too much board space for those not participating

Windy, deff, start the goal of the week thread. I just started a health tip of the day thread (i'm studying to be a registered dietitian so I thought it would be helpful to everyone)....hopefully people dont take it as bossy.

Puhlease, I know that all of us in this weight loss circle more than appreciate your knowledge on this! Others may not join but believe me they will be looking on here to. Besides the bridezilla on WE, I have yet to meet a woman who doesn't want to look and feel better!

We should get a new icon too, like the BOTW thing...that we could keep passing around to whoever deserves it that week.

(Teri is a good inspiration too! Shes lost 30LBs since joining WW!!!!!!!!)

Love that idea Laura! Maybe if we could get Alyssa to make us an icon as she's in graphic arts!

Re: So we took the pledge, Now what????

I'm gonna be honest. Last week on my fast i lost 8lbs but i've gained three since then and I was not a good girl yesterday when i went out to dinner. I still have leftovers from last night and I am not one to waste food to i'll admit that i'm eating my potato skins and mini burgers for lunch today...BUT!

tonight I am only going to have veggies and fruit for dinner and after I finish nursing the tea that i'm drinking, I will start on water for the rest of the day.

tomorrow i will start my day off with whole wheat cereal with soy milk and light meals throughout the day.

Sunday I will go to the supermarket and stock up on some healthy foods and bag my own lunch next week for work.

Re: So we took the pledge, Now what????

I think the weekends are the hardest....especially now with the BBQ's....and my weigh in day is Monday! I swore I was going to be good all week, so I could not worry so much bout weekends. But today FH was off and we drove out to Cozymel's for lunch and it's just so easy to give into temptation there.

But Sunday I promise to drink my 8 glasses of water, and go grocery shopping for the week...only healthy food! And starting Monday I'll get back on my Wii Fit.
