so went to the orthodontist yesterady morning...
and let me tell you WOW.
Now my teeth arent that bad...just my front tooth on top is pushing out a bit and the tooth next to it is turned outwards a smidge...my bottom teeth are fine in my opinin...i am just so awkward about it that I wanted to see how much to get it all fixed...
First the guy tells me that the orthodontist I had when I was younger didnt do anything right and that is why my teeth are the way they are now...Then he tells me that my mouth is narrow (yea I have known that, so what??!! lol) and to correct it (bc i never had a palate expander) i would have to go for surgery to expand my palate to correct the crowding in my mouth...ummm surgery?? to fix a crooked tooth??!!
Then he tells me that my treatment would be a year and a half (ok not a problem). He says that invisalign stinks and if i wanted them i could get them but he wont guarantee it. He says I could have regualr metal braces/cermaic/clear brakets...or if i wanted the lingual ones (behind the teeth)..
The price of the invisalign AND the regular braces was $5200 (isnt invisalign more expensive?!) not including xrays and extras etc. The lingual were $7800!!!!!!!!!
Girls if you are considering braces and paying for your wedding yourself, get quotes before you set your heart on it...It is a MAJOR monetary commitment...for the love of god we could get who knows how much for the wedding for the price of a straight smile....
