So what are the side effects??

Im still feeling soooo sick, After wating it out like 4 days I called my OB and he gave me a list of over-the-counter drugs I could take...yet still I just became even more sick...

Well it's been more than a week and Im finally going to the Dr. who will prob prescribe an antibiotic...obviously the DR will know Im preg. and will not give me something I cant take, but I still worry...is it really ok?

I mean my ob said its worse for me to really hve an infection and not treat it, then for me to be on med's but Im paranoid... are there any risks?

I really don't know - but I would trust in what my Dr. tells me - if he's prescribing something knowing you are pregnant than I would think its okay.

I agree. If the doctor is prescribing it, I would trust him. I remember being really sick in the beginning and suffering for a week because I thought I couldnt take anything.
My doctor actually yelled at me saying 'Why would you let yourself suffer like this... the stress is worse than the medication'

she gave me a z-pack, and swore tha it wouldnt effect the baby at all...so..Im ok now...Thanks

I took z packs through most of my pregnancy.. they are fine.. they actually give a version of it to babies who need it

I think it is much worse for the baby for you to leave an illness untreated. You could get worse and even wind up hospitalized.

I took antibiotic twice for infections when I was preggo and my baby is perfectly healthy.

I had z-pak when I was pregnant too. Can you believe the doctor also gave me tylenol with codeine. He said it was fine to take for a short period of time but long use of it can be addicting to the baby. I guess he gave it to me because I was really sick (temp of 102 for 6 days with cough, etc.).

Omg.. Go the the DR. I waited a little over a week and the DR was like mad I waited so long... if you have a true infection...its not going to go away on its own... I been on med since yesterday, and already I feel 100x's better
