So what would you do??

So what would you do??

I booked my photographer after doing much research and made a deposit. After we placed our deposit, one of the assistant photographers had a HELLUVA snotty attitude (completely different once we placed the deposit) and neither of us really liked her. I can totally see someone like her making me feel bad on my wedding day.
I found another photographer that I really like (Blue Daisy) but she's twice as much, but I really like her work.
So would you book another photographer and just screw the 500 bucks you lost or stick with what you already have?

can you just see if they will give you a different assistant for the day of so you make sure she is not around?!

First I would explain to the owner what happened and that you don't feel comfortable, hopefully they can give you some money back!
If not I would say screw the 500 bucks because you want to feel comfortable on you wedding day - you photographers are with you the whole day!!! JMO

I think you should speak to the owner like the previous poster said. Also, if you can afford Blue Daisy I think $500 is a little price to pay to feel comfortable for one of the most important things that day. Good Luck!

I agree, speak with Dominic and tell him how you feel. Even if he says that he will speak to her, tell me you're sorry but it already left a made taste in your mouth and if you are going to be worried leading up to your wedding day, you're going to walk away. I wouldnt end the conversation until he assigns a new assistant to you that you can meet. If you did decide to leave, I think that you can find someone more affordable that Blue Daisy who also has great work.

i agree, call first and find out what they can do for you. and if they cant assign you someone you are comfortable with , then politely ask for your money back. say you were super excited about booking and now you dont feel comfortable. hopefully they give you a full refund. good luck and let us know what happens!
