So what's everyone doing now?

So, we're waiting for our Thomas Paul contract to arrive in the mail. When it comes, we'll sign, drop it back, and call in the CC#.

Then, I called a couple companies for sample favors. On their way. I really like the idea of a personalized glass of some sort, but Groomzilla isn't having it so far. We'll see. We will see.

Called Joe. Got a quote for $1000 for 1 Lincoln for 5 hours and an antique.

Working on making DJ appointments. First we're gonna see FM and Tommy Tunes. Who else should I go to?

And that's it for now. This is the most productive I've been so far. I know some of you girls REALLY enjoy this process. I'm not one of you. Too much anxiety.

Now I need TWO Irish Car Bombs. And a Mani/Pedi. Doesn't that sound like the perfect evening? Too bad it won't happen.

ETA: We're getting married in FH's church which we booked MONTHS ago. But he doesn't want to use the newer priests that are there, he wants Msgr Romano who was the pastor for years and was just transferred to another church in the neighborhood recently We called him months ago to ask if he'd do the wedding and he said yes, but call after the first of the year to set up a meeting and so he could put it in his book.
Has FH called him now that it's March 17th? Of course not Every week I tell him to call and every week he says yeah, I need to do that. I don't really know the guy, otherwise I'd call myself! Geez, if you want something done right....

PS, Groomzilla is compalining 'What if the come broken? Id on't want to deal with that' OK, so you order early,order extras and orde rfrom a reputable company so you get them to replace the broken ones, what's the big deal?
Then, 'Who's gonna want a glass with our names on it?'
Fine. WE dn't have to put our names. We could just put a design and date. But if I got a wine glass or a tumble from a wedding, I would totally use it. GAH, he's aggravating me. I'M THE BRIDE!!!

I have an appointment this Saturday to check out bridal gowns and BM dresses. Also checking out a band this Saturday, Monday and Friday.

I want to lock down our band before I move on to anything....

Flowers are a real bone of contention for me. I HATE the thought of spending thousands on something so disposable. And we're going to have 12 BP members and probably about 15-17 tables. FFIL knows someone, I hope we get a good deal. I'm avoiding that step like the plague though.

I'm actually in a major lull right now. I feel like I should be doing something, but there really is nothing for us to do. We are way ahead of schedule on everything, I have all the major vendors booked. My friend is working on the STD's right now for me to mail out in April. Wedding website, registry and honeymoon registry is done.

What should I be doing????

Hi ladies! What's everyones thought on e-parties? Are you having one? I am thinking of having a low-key place this summer (1 year to the day before the wedding- calling it a 'kick off party') Just with our closest friends and family.

We are thinking 50 ppl to invite. Any ideas of good resturants where we would not have to rent the whole place out? I am thinking outside, a back deck of a resturant- not too expensive?

We were thinking FH backyard but i think it would be a little too tight.


Any ideas please let me know!!!!

Let's see - we just booked our e-shots and appointment to meet with video.

I am hoping to get a limo appointment in soon too - but FIL's are paying for the limos so i have to work around their sked which is annoying.

After those are done - we will have our STD's (from the e-shots), then can mail those out - then will start flowers and dresses!

OY!!

i was just emailing back and forth with FM ent. and now i'm 'Working'


im gonna try to not do anything too wedding related this week or next.


except hopefully finally get my ring!! FH goes tomorrow at 7pm!

NOPE, I was wrong. I just FM'd Client Services and the DJ was Parties Alive and the BAND was After Hours... neither of which I cared too much for... but since I didn't see the DJ from After Hours, I take it back.
