So, while I'm waiting for laundry, who's gonna get new furniture when they get married?

When I got married, I inherited my DH's bedroom furniture. 36 yrs. later, it took a licking and it keeps on ticking!!!!! When may I have new stuff, hon? Pleaseeeeeeeee? Mary MOB

We got new furniture when we moved from NY to PA and I already want a change. When we moved to the condo last year, our couch didn't fit in the freight elevator (which is huge) or up the stairwell, because it was such an oversize couch. We practically gave it away and had to get a brand new couch, after only having that one for a year!

We've had problems like that too. Girls, if there's one thing we need to remember, measure the openings/doorways that your furniture must go through. Don't guess!!!! Mary MOB

We have inherited some bedroom furniture but we will be getting a new kitchen table and living room furniture. We are going shopping today!!

The furniture is gonna have to wait a little because we have to renovate the house. FH and I ripped up carpeting, pulled down wood paneling yesterday so just need to paint and get our floors done, then hello new furniture!!

We are inheriting our Dining Room Furniture and we got our kitchen table from my dad's best friend. I have our den couch from my apartment in DC and we are going to buy tables for it at Bobs.

We are going to have to get bedroom furniture.

If we have wedding money left over I want new living room couches.

I'm tired of inheriting furniture, I want to buy some new things, but it will have to wait until we see if and where FH signs with a new school district next year.

When me moved into our apartment in December we have 75% of our furniture as hand me downs... hopefully when we buy a house we'll be able to buy some new things!

Right now FH lives alone and has enough to get us by once I move in with him. Once we get a house we will upgrade one room at a time. My parents already stated they want to get us a full bedroom set. And eventually we'll need a couch. But the futon will do for now. Then a kitchen table set. But for now we are making do with whatever he's got.

I cannot stand my furniture a second longer!! My couches are disgusting (they're 15+ years old); my bedroom set is on it's last legs. My kitchen table was my grandmothers!

If FH and I ever find a house we both can agree on and we actually buy it (we've been looking forever), I hope to throw out all my furniture except for the dining room and my rocking chair!
