So Why get married..convo w/ a 12 year old

I went to lunch w/ my mom and 12 yr old brother and he says 'so, Christine, what's gonna happen when you are married? What are you gonna do?'

So I ask what he means

He says 'like whats different, you already live together'

I say, nothing will change, we will just be married

He goes- SO WHY GET MARRIED??

LOL kids are too funny....but its true...nothing will change. It's gonna be so weird.

Anyone who lived w/ their FH feel the same way..like nothing will change?

(not the why get married part)

that's soo cute!! you could go into the things like benefits, life meaning decisions, or you could just say, i really want to wear two rings, not just one . i heard that from my nieces, day of, and i had not idea what to say, until they admired my rings, so now that's my answer

i feel the same way - ive been living with FH for the last 3 years (as of now we've been engaged for 7 months) and i dont really feel like much will change after the wedding besides hi being my husband and having his last name - ii already feel so comitted to him and we have been living our life together already for the last 3 years so i think our transition into marriage will be a smooth one - no surprises

We live together and I am DEFINATELY worried that I'm going to be upset after all is said and done with the wedding because it will just be back to regular life!

Girls that dont live with their FH have that big change to look forward to- but we'll be back from teh HM and then what? We dont want kids (I dont want them ever, he doesnt want them for a while) so that wont happen... I hope to just enjoy married life and start planning vacations for the next year when we dont have to stress about wedding planning!!!

Kids are too cute-- he has a point!
