...if I don't get a limo? I was playing around with the idea because I felt I didn't need it because we are getting married at the reception hall. However a few people have suggested it would be nice to get ready at my house and there is no way I can be driven in my father's car in that huge ball gown. also I was discussing this w/ my father tonight over dinner and he thinks I'll regret it if I don't get a limo. So now I am thinking of getting one for just me and my girls to get there. Any thoughts?

We aren't having one. I will be getting dressed at the hall in the suite so my dress won't get creased.

I had the same exact thoughts as you! I wasn't going to, and then thought about it and decided I wanted to get ready at my house, and I am not going to get into a regualar car with that dress on. We got quoted $210 including tax and gratuity from Sir Oliver for pick up/drop off service. I didn't think that was too bad.

i haven't 100% decided yet since we are getting married at the hall too... but one option we were thinking about was having the limo go pick up the boys... drop them off at the hall... then come get us girls and drop us off... but making sure FH and I stay far away from eachother because i dont want to see him until the ceremony...

I have no idea what I want. I am scared to add on extra things because I am over my head w/ the cost of everything. I think I would like to get ready at my house, but I am nervous about the $$$.

Do it! Since you are already skeptical you will regret it and be upset you did not get it. It is a lot for such a short time..Get one to go to the hall and leave the place in a regular car. Good Luck!

Ugh - I am having this issue too. It is definitely going to be something we book months from now if we decide to book it. I feel like I 'should' get one, but it just seems like so much more $$$ that i could put towards something else.
we'll see.....

I totally agree. I understand that there are limits and a budget we need to follow. You may not realize it now, but there will so many things that pop up that requires MONEY!!! We got the traditional limo ( 2 stretch 8 passengers)It was only $450.00 I originally wanted the Escalade, which was $850, double the amount, but that is where we drew the line. A limo is a limo. All I want is to be in the limo and to hear the horn!!!!!! I can't wait for that!!! I'm gonna freak out!!!! So I did get a limo, but I didn't splurged! You gotta have what you want, but do it within limits!!!!
Good luck!!!!

I'm not getting a limo. The prices are crazy, and I like you are getting married at the hall. I decided to take pictures beforehand at a park, so I am getting a town car. It's a little roomier than my parent's car, and I don't have to worry about my dad's driving

Maybe do a drop off and pick up type of thing, other brides getting married at their reception hall have done this.

Just get the pick up drop off for just the girls. FH has to bring one car to east wind anyway. Its really not that much money if you think about it. If you can get it for $200, then say you put down a $100 now, that's only $100 you have to worry about. You'll be happy that you got it. Plus don't you want to hear the cool horn as the limo comes down the street.

Its a Lincoln Stretch. FH spoke to them and is pretty sure they said it is 8 person.
