so, yeah...I am awesome...and fitting my awesomeness...this piece is LONG.
there is something I can do better than ANYONE else...and that is DUMB DUMB things
In my quest to whip my hips and booty into the best shape I possibly can, I have been doing these squats, which require one leg to be standing on a 'step' and then you squat down, and raise up so all of your weight is on the leg standing on the step, and your opposite leg is in the air, and then raised and extended outward. ok, beautiful.
so, i don't own a 'regulation' step, but wanted to do these squats which promised to work wonders. In my Girl Scout/MacGuyver type 'brilliance' I opt to use the small wooden chair that is part of our nieces tea party table (yes, oh yes, I did)
the first day I did it, it was fine. I told the bomb about my awesome makeshift gym equipment, and he said 'what?! don't use that! you're gonna break it. you're gonna fall' so I pouted a little bit and though there could be 'some' truth to it,....
so I tried it again. it was all good. so I've been doing this for the past 2 months or so. in secret...lest he see me doing the bad thing.
this morning, as I was on my last set, last leg, squat 6 of 15, the chair tipped over, out from under me.
I fell awesomely....extended my left hand out to 'break' my fall, almost breaking my arm in the process, but it DID stop me from breaking a rib or two, b/c I hit the wooden seat back with my ribs pretty damn hard...
as I waited to feel immense pain and assess the damaged done, my first thought was, my legs would be 'uneven' b/c I'd completed 2 sets of 15 on my right leg already.
oh, and that I may not be able to run today.
then I realized, I was lucky to be breathing
I don't think my ribs are broken, bc I can reach and all that good stuff...but it sure nuff hurts like a motha.
and...when he finds out...ha ha...this will be good.
I am so
