I just noticed Craig Derosa is my nephews dance teacher.

Being a former dancer and dance teacher I am totally watching it! Melissa is my favorite so far. Blake is amazing of course but being a professional dancer already I dont think he should be in the competition. I actually took a class from Dan at a dance convention. His parents own a dance studio in NJ (In The Spotlight) they used to always kick our a@@ in competitions.

I wondered the samne thing about Blake.
I read the fine print at the end of last weeks episode & they said that people with professional experience were alowed in due to the nature of the business. I guess that is b/c just b/c you get a professional job, you don't necessarily have a careeer. It's not like getting a record contract would be in the music world.

Yeah the other contestants said that on the show.
But several of them have had paid experiences of one type or another, so I guess it is just difficult for them to daraw the lien so then don't.

If someone really had a successfull dance career, they wouldn't feel the need to be on TV, I guess.

Maybe Blake is just upset that Britney married Kevin & not him & he wants to be just as famous!

I agree it's weird that they give them the same routines. I want to lean to Jive too! How much fun does that look like? I love swing and latin and all those partner dances.

a lot of the people said they were dance instructors, so i'm assuming they were paid to do it.
in fact, the spiky haired kid said last night he's the only one with no experience.....

Many of the ones that didn't make it were 'professional' dancers, according to their introductions. And I think Nick toured with some dance companies & Ashle has her own dnace comapny.

Well, their rules stated it was open to everyone, so their experience doesn't matter.

More importantly, I like to watch Artem wiggle!

Actually it was his wife... there was another couple that was engaged and the girl got through, but the guy got cut and then someone someone dropped out so the guy came back, but then they both got cut. And the Janice Dickinson Impersonator referred to the twice-cut guy as the girl's father instead of fiance and I laaaaaaaaughed!
