Soap making ??

Has anyone made glycerine soap before?? I saw the directions on line and it looked pretty easy. I was trying to do a baby shower favor.

My great brain storm was to get a rubber duck and a bar of soap and on a gift tag write from xxx shower to yours. I was going to get the soap from bath and body thinking that I could get them in pink Blue, Yellow, Green and white and call it a day. The only thing is I didnt realize the soap is $3.00 a bar. By the time i get the rubber ducks and the tags and put it all together for 75 people It is going to cost me more than the resturant.

Figured if I made them myself it might be cheaper. Just wanted to know how difficult and if it is a pain in the neck to do.

You are better off buying it in blocks at Michaels and adding the color yourself. It will be much cheaper then that.

You can buy the wax and melt it and add sent. After it cools you can cut it in to slices. They also sell bar size molds- you could get little ducks and put it in the soap.
