Ladies that have changed their names already...

I do not have time to actually go down to the social security office to change my name so I want to mail everything in. I want to send them my passport as proof of identity. Am I able to send in my passport that has my maiden name? I don't plan on changing that until I need it to go away.

ETA: I know I need to send them my original marriage license (I surprisingly got it in the mail 2 days after the wedding so I am able to start this process a lot soon than I thought)

I went there and it only took an hour. Not sure about the requirements to mail it in but I would think your passport as is would be fine. You would need your new ss to change your passport anyway right?

Yep your passport with maiden name is fine. I changed mine using my passport, birth certificate, and marriage certificate.
