social security question!!

so... after WEEKS of trying to get to the office, DW has decided to mail it in... but it's a little heavy so i brought it to work to check the weight/ cost.

My question-- did anyone who mailed this in send it via certified mail, etc? These are some important papers! is it worth it?

I bit the bullet and waited on the line at SS. I felt funny about mailing it off.

I waited at SS.

If I did mail it, I would have certified it or something (ask at the po what they suggest). The extra few dollars is worth piece of mind.

i feel like this would be better so i dont have to GO anywhere i can just stick it in the bin @ work :)

That is exactly what I did. I brought it to work and put it in with our business mail. I got it back two weeks later, first I got my passport and marriage license back, then my SS card came separately.
