I need to go budget in certain places- I figure I'll try to cut corners in flowers and limos. Luckily both are possible as I'm having a fairly small BP. (8 ppl in all- that makes 10 of us with FH & I)
So...how do I go about saving money on limos? I hear the best thing one can do is just get one limo. How will this work? Will FH and his guys and family just go separately in cars, and then us ladies get the limo, and then FH & I join everyone in the limo on the way to pics and reception?
Might be stupid questions...but I'm so new at this!!

We got one limo for our BP.....
They will pick up the GM first, bring them to the church, pick up my girls & bring them to the church then everyone gets in the same limo together to go to RH.
FI & I got our own car to travel in. (which is what my Dad & I will be in on the way TO the church)

I'm very close to the ceremony- I'm not sure which hotel we're gonna pick. He could be at the Best Western in Massapequa, which would be close. But I think i want us to be in a nicer hotel on our wedding night!!

We're not 'saving money' on limos per se, but we did shop around for the best price for what we needed. If you are getting married at RH, you can rent one limo to get the guys and take them to RH, then come back and get the girls, and then it will take you & FH to your final destination at the end of the night (or perhaps just rent a town car to get you at the end of the night). Ask lots of questions, especially about overtime rates (how much, when it starts etc).
FH & I rented a toal of three limos. Two of them for 5 hours, the third is a round trip pick up/drop off for my family to get to and from the reception.

As long as you time things right, it shouldn't matter. For my friends Wedding we were out at like exit 62 off the LIE & the church was exit 53 off LIE...the guys got picked up first & then the limos came back again to get us and we were all on time. (well we were 10 minutes late but that's b/c the guys made the limos stop for beer.....I KID YOU NOT!! lol)

FH & I decided on 2 limos. Limo 1 - pick up guys and bring them to the church - pick up & drop off only. Limo 2 - pick up me and the girls and take us to the church and then all of us - BP included to the RH. We are having a small bridal party - 8 in total but 4 are kids so they might not even want to come in the limo but in the car with their parents. Hopefully this works out!

They pick my up at my house and drop me off at my hall. It's like a taxi ride but with a limo.
I came back home with a regular car (well... SUV Escalade... so I had plenty of place for my dress)

get a few limos as possible.
DO NOT get a wedding package!
ask only for a pick up and drop off. this way you're only being charged for them working (picking up, driving, dropping off) instead of what they don't do (sitting in the parking lot and waiting for you for hours).

both our (me & FH)'s locations are close to the church....we have the limo picking up the guys - bringing them to the church, then coming to get the girls.....then we have a limo-bus taking all of us to the reception. We're using Serenity Limousines and they're AWESOME....they totally worked with us to save us some mula!

We're also using serenity, and also only one limo (a Hummer)...and there's quite a few of us.
Picking up fh & guys at their hotel, dropping them off at the church.
Coming to my house for me & the girls (and my Dad!) to take us to church.
Taking all of us (my Dad will now travel with mom in a car) for pics, then to the rh. Hummer leaves then.
A towncar comes to get the 2 of us after the reception to go to our hotel.
Serenity will also send a car to take us to/from airport for hm.
