One of the first places I considered when I got engaged was SOle East in Montauk. I have emailed and called them a few times and they haven't responded to me. I am supposed to go out to Montauk early next week to look at venues. I am just curious if anyone is familiar with Sole East?

I think the front desk is pretty busy--I would call directly instead of e-mailing.

At the front desk they told me that a woman named Cindy handles weddings. But like I said, they were all over the place. I'll be out there again this weekend and will think of more ideas for you
We looked at East Hampton Point for our wedding, it was very nice too!

I went out there with my girlfriends about a year ago. We did not have such a good impression of the place. On more than one occasion they were rude to us, and they ran out of food one morning so we had to go into town for breakfast. Not really such a big deal, but I didn't get the impression that they were very on top of things.
I would also check out the website Tripadvisor.com and search Sole East. Check the message boards and see what others have to say about dealing with them. I like to check this site myself before booking hotels that I've never booked before. Good luck!

This place is awful. Don't have your wedding there. And if you do, be weary of terrible communication. They won't guarantee anything on your contract (like number of staff or what the bar will be stocked with) and they'll screw you out of things they verbally promise. There's a lot more to it than that... if you'd like more information message me.
