I don't know if one day I went crazy and signed up for everything under the sun when it comes to DJ's, photographers, etc. but is anyone else getting a lot of solicitation calls? I get at least 1 every 2-3 days and never heard of half the companies that call. It's starting to get very frustrating and I know I didn't sign up for half these vendors. Could it be that since I put my phone number on this account that I'm getting these calls? I'm just curious cause if that's the case I'll put up a fake number on this website lol

Ugh the phone calls are SO annoying. I had a dj call my house yesterday and I told him we already had a dj, then he called back 10 minutes later! I was like I literally JUST spoke to you and he asked me if I was sure. I think it's from signing up here and for bridal showcases.

I get soooo many calls, texts, and emails. It's hard to pin point where they come from, since I've signed up with so many websites/showcases/emailed so many companies. I pretty much ignore every unknown number to screen them out lol..they sure are persistent!

ughhh the calls are so annoying.. i dont answer me phone if i dont know the number
I used to get a LOT more, and I usually get them more after showcases that I registered for but then never attended. Most of the time now they say where they're calling from and ask me how I am and I'm usually like, 'I'm good, but I already booked my band/photographer/etc!'

super annoying. they seem to be decreasing. i wonder why some think calling 3x day makes them sound like an appealing option. i've managed to avoid answering most of them.

The only place I've entered my phone number and address was on this site and I started to get a lot of calls, emails, and mailing from them. After I changed my info on this site, it stopped.

My favorite part of those calls is they're always so rushed I make them repeat it at least 2x to find out where the heck they're calling from and then say 'no thanks' and hang up. i never understand a word they're saying 'cept 'wedding'

Solicitation Question
I had one vendor who would call me and I told him I wasn't ready to look into those services yet but call back in 3 months. I told him everytime and every 3 months I got a call from him and I was fine with it and I would just put him off each time.
Then one day I started to get text messages on my phone every day and also phone calls and after 4 times I called them up and went off on them. It's funny I knew it was the same guy cause of his voice but he acted as if it wasn't him. He said they opened another office and that office is contacting me. I told him well by all the messages I get from you via text or voice I feel like I'm being harassed. Do you think I would actually look into your company if I feel that way. I also told them if this keeps up I'm sending him my phone bill and he can pay it for all the times they contacted me. Needless to say he took me off the list and the phone calls and text messages stop. Although I did get a call from him not to long ago but I ignored it.
If I don't recognize the number I let it go to VM.

I just let it go to voicemail.. FH told me before signing up to give a wrong number, and that's what I've been doing, but somehow they still find my contact info..

Every time I've seen this topic name on the boards today, I kept thinking it was going to be an article about hooking or something.
ETA: By the way - any time you go to any type of Bridal Expo whether it's LIWeddings or your specific venue, they release your information to all the vendors advertising at the expo, regardless if you visit their table and sign anything.
It was awful when I first got engaged but now the calls have dwindled, I only really get one every few weeks.

Driving me insane...seriously thinking about removing all my personal info from everywhere. Some people call more than twice a day. Texts too!? How do we make it stop!
