Some advice from a Newlywed to the B2Bs
Ok ladies, I just wanted to pass along a couple of things that came to mind the other day while watching our wedding video (we just got it in the mail). If any other Newlyweds want to add on, go right ahead.
A few pointers:
1) If you're getting a wedding video, remember that everything you do will be caught on tape! I was so annoyed when I saw how I licked my teeth like every 5 minutes because my lipstick dried out my lips so they would get stuck to my teeth.
Remember to smile a lot. I was kind of stressed that day I guess, because I wasn't smiling very much in the video!
2) Stand up straight! Poor posture is not attractive.
3) Tell your BMs to keep an eye on your makeup, hair, etc. My face was so shiny at the reception that the light from the video camera reflected off my forehead - GROSSSSS. And all my lipstick had come off![]()
In our formal picture, I had NO lipstick left on after the photographer had DH kiss me like 50 times. Bring your lipstick with you to the formals shoot and reapply if you need to!
Also, at the reception, my BMs didn't poof up my bustle (I had a double French bustle). After sitting on it, the layers got all flat. I should've asked my girls to fix it for me but didn't even think about it.
4) If you see a picture that you really like and want your photographer to re-create it on your wedding day, or have an idea of your own, by all means TELL your photographer. They work for YOU and should be able to accommodate you if you at least tell them beforehand that you have some ideas....
I did this and I'm so glad I did. One idea that I had turned out to be so good that the picture is the last picture in our album, and it's also the last scene of our wedding video.
