Some good work related news for once
We had a meeting today, which of course I went in to thinking was going to be like, Yeah, so....we're going to need to take another 15% from your pay....yeah.....and I'm going to need you to come in on Saturday.....LOL.
Shockingly, we were told that we're going back to our original salaries as of 1/1, as promised. That was what we were 'promised', but I didn't believe it would actually come through, since I was promised, oh, a 10K higher starting salary than I was actually given, commission, and a whole bunch of other goodies which never materialized. Unfortunately since we did not meet the goal of maintaining the same sales volume or exceeding that of 2008, we were not able to receive the money we had to give up back in the form of a weekly raise. But the good news is, getting my original salary back, and not getting canned. Bad news is....my original salary still s/ucked![]()
And even though I'm leaving at 2:30 tomorrow as my last day before the wedding, the 3 women in the office are taking me to an early lunch at 11 to celebrate the wedding, which I wasn't expecting, especially given the money crunch here.
It's not much, but it will definitely help, especially since my car is fully paid in February and then I have an extra 290/month too!
