Some info on breast reduction for those interested...
Hi girls!
For those of you who are interested-I had an appt. last week at a new surgeon for a second opinion. (I don't think I posted about my first experience-I saw a surgeon who was downright mean. If you want to know who to stay away from, feel free to FM me!![]()
) It seems I'm scheduled for breast reduction surgery tentatively, pending on my insurance accepting the surgery, at the end of September.
In my travels, I've found out that in order to have your insurance pay for this procedure, you're going to need to back up the reasons why you need it. For those interested in pursuing this, try the following:
-See your primary care physician and have them document any back, neck, shoulder pain. You should continue seeing them on a monthly basis to have these visits documented so they can submit it to your insurance.
-Go to a chiropractor and also have those visits documented in writing and submit that as well.
It might also be helpful to have proof of a gym membership. Basically, they want you to have tried everything prior to having surgery.
This is just a few pointers...
I really liked my new doctor. He seems 99.99999% sure that my insurance will accept this. I'll admit I'm a little nervous about it but definitely excited! So keep your fingers crossed for me!
