Some people are crazy - I called my stalker's father....vent

SO I went out with a guy 5 years ago for about 2 months. Ever since then he has been calling me often in the middle of the night with a blocked number. He calls, breaths, and hangs up. It's really scaring. I could never prove it was him though - he always blocked his number. So I get a call Saturday morning, 5 am, same thing, breathing. I push *69, and to my surprise, he forgot to block his #! He called again once more and I told him I was calling the police. The scariest part about this is that I sleep at my FI often, and whenever I don't he calls. He's definitely driving by my house or watching me. That's scary. So I tell my FI once again, and he gets sooo pissed at me. I don't know why - It's not my fault. He still is in fact. We go to the police station yesterday and they tell me the best thing to do it to call this guys parents. (Let's go back for a second- called the police before - they said they couldn't do anything b/c the number is blocked, thus, no evidence. They told me to make a log - they could copy the number but only use if for criminal court - great I have to get raped or killed before they give me the unblocked #) So, long story short, I called his father, (a very prominent lawyer and CEO) and he didn't believe me too much. I let him know that if he calls me one more time I will press criminal harrassment charges. He then calls me back with the stalker on the line - I freak out on them both and the stalker says he won't call again. But, my FI is still pissed at me. He hates the fact I had a BF before him. And the whole weekend I feel like sh*t. What's wrong with people in this world???Someone stalking me for 5 years and he gets mad at me? And can't that stupid stalker figure I don't want him as I yell at him all the time to stop calling. Oh, get this too, his father in the conversation said'I don't think he was in town Friday night' His mother (listening in) says yes, he was, he was with his girlfriend...The one I want to leave me only won't, and the one I don't want to leave me only, wants to....

I went thru this with someone I was 'engaged ' to before I met loving and DH. I got so fed up, I called the police, mind you he was calling, and also impersanating me on dusgusting websites etc. The police suggestted i do what I you did... or go to a lawyer, and have him write a letter to stop all harassment or he will be bought up on all criminal charges. he even sent me an e mail saying I was stalking him!!! Which was a total lie, I was hysterical crying. Dh who was Fh at the time was so mad at him. My lawyer who is my best friends husband sent the letter certified to his moms house, and his apartment to his wife and I never heard from him again- it has been almost 1 year since this happened. I hope I am not jinxing myself. It is hard, I know. Just try to be strong, you have done NOTHING WRONG, you might want to take the lawyer approach.

first of all, i'm so sorry that this is happening to you! how scared you must have been. i'm so glad that you were able to put an end to the whole thing by calling this crazy man's father...

about fh, maybe he is acting angry because he actually feels powerless in the situation and afraid that something might happen. obviously i don't know his personality so it's hard to say for sure, but do you think it's possible that his reaction is out of fear rather than anger?
