do you have a mac or a pc? if you have a pc with windows xp, you should be able to turn them around using the windows picture and fax viewer (the thing that opens them up to view them when you double click on them). if you don't have that program or have a mac, use photoshop or photoshop elements (you can download this) and go to image - rotate image - rotate 90, to rotate it and, image - resize image - then type in how many inches or pixels you want it to be (make sure the dimensions are locked) or you can grab the corner and pull to resize (hold down shift to keep the dimensions regular). if you can't get photoshop, you can do some basic rotations/resizing in paint by going to image - flip/rotate to rotate and grabbing the corner and pulling to resize (hold down shift to keep the dimensions regular).

just so you know, if you try to make a smaller picture bigger, you lose quality and if you make it too big it'll be really pixelated. i would do this for you, but i don't have photoshop yet on my new comp and the 3 pics at the bottom are too small to do anything with. =0\ i'll try playing around with them though. good luck.
