Some Prayers!! UPDATE 5-12-06

ETA: 5-12-06: FH's grandmother has been moved from Stony Brook to a rehabilitation/nursing home in Smithtown, so the good news is she is out of the hospital, but still has a long stretch to go. We're unsure if the chemo will be restarted, but at least she is under the constant care of nurses, etc. The funny this is, she didn't want to leave the hospital and fought with us to stay there.

BESTY HOW IS FH'S GRANDMA DOING???

FH's mother called last night and said that Granny isn't going to make it and it's just a matter of time now. She continued to have painful chest pains, so the Dr's are thinking that she's having minor heart episodes and she under constant radar at Stony Brook. I know the Dr's are doing to best they can for her, but we learned that her Dr that was giving her the last chemo therapy about a week and a half ago gave her too much of a dosage for her weight. Fh's grandmother has lost a lot of weight since starting this new regimen of chemo and the Dr's forgot to take that into account when giving her chemo, so Stony Brook Dr's believe she was given too high of a dosage and the reason her heart is now failing her b/c she doesn't have the body strength. Needless to say, FH isn't happy and he's being the typical guy who doesn't want to show the world that he's upset. I'll keep you guys informed and thank you again from the bottom of my heart for all your thoughts and prayers!
