On the bad...

My dad is in the hospital.

My real dad who I'm not super in love with because he's an alcholic and did a lot of ****** things to my mom and I but whatever, he's still my dad. He had a seizure related to going without alcohol too long. I don't know a whole lot because my mom and I are his only family basically. He has two sisters in Colorado but that's it. And my mom is on vacation right now and can only find out information from the phone and there's only so much I can do from NY when he's 700 miles away.

I guess just think good thoughts for me, please. I don't really know what I'm supposed to feel about this situation. I'm not shocked and obviously I don't wish any ill-will against him but I'm sort've not a wreck about this. It's all really weird, I don't know.

But its enough to spoil an otherwise great weekend so...

I looked ALL weekend for these shoes after not finding things I felt comfortable ordering from online.

They were on the clearance rack @ JC Penney. Originally $50. Marked down to $20. Then I asked if they had any other pairs because this one has a tinnnnny scuff on it and he took off another 10%.

I had also got a dress there to wear for Easter or for my confirmation on Saturday. It all came up to just over $50 so I qualified for some coupon that was in the circulars so I ended up, with tax, paying only $38 for my shoes AND my dress.

Then on the way home I found out about my dad. F*ck.
