Some of you may remember that i ordered a new gown a couple of weeks ago because I decided i didn't like my original gown and that i lost my deposit on the original gown. Well, last week I decided I no longer liked my DJ and that i wanted a band instead.... so I went to see the Band Oasis last night and decided I want to book them.... i'm probably gonna lose the $500 deposit I put on the DJ.... I have to stop doing this before FH kills me!!!!!!!

I am afraid of doing the same thing!! Already, a couple of friends said they thought my RH was fine but that other RH's I missed knowing about, could have been better...Plus, I already booked my limo and of course, watch there be a cheaper qoute from another reputable company that offers the same car I want pop up soon..lol.
This is probably why I am not really going to book vendors until the date approaches...I really need to make sure I never change my mind and its so hard because everywhere you go, it seems like the price is great and services are equal or better...Its a tough draw!

$500 is a lot, plus the deposit on your dress that you lost (not sure how much)....it allllllllll adds up!!!!! STOP YOURSELF!!!!!!!!

omg fh would kill me... these are all costs that we are covering and it would hurt so much to lose my $. the band idea sure is wonderful, but it would be a lot more than a dj...is that something you can do?

i totally understand the dress thing bc i cancelled my first dress...luckily i only lost 150 dollars (cancellation fee) and not the whole deposit but i would have done it even if i was gonna lose my whole deposit...u have to be happy with the dress!!
but at some point you have to stop questioning ur decisions otherwise ur gonna lose way too much $$$.

Stop looking at other gowns.. stop looking at other vendors Stop looking for bands...
JUST STOP!!!! You are going to lose sooo much money!!! The day of you are going to be Mr. & Mrs... and whether or not there is a band or a DJ can never take that away!!
When I find myself wanting everything.. i just sit back and remember this is about marrying my FI not about the party.. and it totally puts things in perspecitve...

But 2 of my cousins used the same DJ in their weddings, both in the same year as mine... our weddings are all 5 months apart....I really wasn't impressed with the DJ AND I don't want to have the same old wedding... not that theirs wasn't beautiful... but the same exact entertainment at the same exact wedding every 5 months is getting soooooo boring!!! A band really livens thibgs up, ya know!!

ok well is it in your budget to do this? bc if so, then i guess do it and be happy. personally, i couldnt afford it but if you can then go for it. but no more!!

Talk to your DJ then. Explain the situation and make him understand. I am sure they deal with this kind of stuff all the time.
ETA: what about adding a percussionist, or some live elemet through the DJ company. This way it is different but you dont lose your deposit or have to pay as much more for a band.

thats how I feel about photography... I am second guessing myself big time.. and i just dont want to lose that 500 deposit so im tryin not to think about it and just be happy with my decision..
